FI Gesundheits- und Sportverein is proud to announce the successful completion of our project, "Cancer-Free World." This initiative was developed to raise awareness about the impact of environmental and behavioral factors on cancer and to promote preventive measures. The project aimed to increase awareness of cancer research conducted in Turkey and European Union countries, contribute to cancer prevention through sports and healthy nutrition, and eliminate inequalities in access to diagnosis and treatment.
Throughout the project, 35 participants aged 18-40 from Turkey, Romania, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic came together. They had the opportunity to learn about various topics, including what cancer is, cancer cases in Turkey and the EU, habits that trigger cancer, and methods of combating cancer. Additionally, participants were informed about the European Code against Cancer and organized various events.
Our project provided participants with the chance to develop their skills through theatrical activities, allowing them to put what they learned into action, dream, write scripts, and engage in drama. In doing so, they also explored the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program and understood the importance of collaborating with different cultures.

The results of the project enabled participants to become informed about the Erasmus+ program, develop a positive perspective on the fight against cancer, and understand the necessary actions required for cancer prevention in both Europe and Turkey. At the project's conclusion, participants also gained insights about the Youthpass certificate, learning about the key competencies and the changes it has brought to the lives of those who have previously held it.
This project has contributed to the goal of achieving a cancer-free world by empowering young people engaged in volunteer activities in health and sports to develop themselves and create awareness in society. As FI Gesundheits- und Sportverein, we are delighted to have successfully completed this project and extend our gratitude to all the participants involved in this journey.
